A Spring Mountain Engagement Session | Malibu, CA

Spring in the mountains of Malibu is always so interesting and diverse.
Last year and the year before, the mountains were full of bright yellow mustard. But this year, there were hardly any mustard flowers to see, but there were tons of these little whimsical purple flowers.
We started the session in a meadow that was filled with the purple flowers. Heeseong wore a dainty yellow dress that perfectly matched the whimsical nature of this meadow.
As the sun got lower, we moved farther into the mountains until we found the most gorgeous spot with beautiful trees that hung over the trail.
The light was absolutely phenomenal as it shown on the gorgeous couple.
Heeseong changed into a beautiful gown that I rented from Perfect Fit Rentals. I love gowns like these for engagement sessions because of how beautifully they catch the light, and because of the movement they create in the photos.
We ended the session overlooking the creek as the sun dipped behind the mountains.
Their session was photographed on Medium Format film and digital.
