A Sunrise Engagement Session at the Malibu Pier | Malibu, CA

The morning of Trevor and Cielo’s session is one that I will truly NEVER forget.
I arrived at the parking lot at Surfrider Beach before there was a single ounce of light in the sky. Surfers and other beach enthusiasts were already flooding the parking lot as well.
I was getting my camera gear together when all of the sudden these two old surfer guys started yelling at each other. And I’m not talking 50’s, 60’s, I’m talking well into their 80’s.
They were getting into it over a parking spot of all things.
I was trying to ignore them and continue on with paying for parking when all of the sudden Clark Gregg, the actor who plays Agent Coulson in the Marvel Movies/Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., walks by and tells the guys to knock it off.
The rest of the morning went off without a hitch!
I met Cielo and Trevor just as light was shining over the mountains. We did several playful prompts, and then the sun rose directly behind the Malibu Pier.
It was so stunning! Could not have asked for a better sunrise.
We spent some more time on the beach before the Malibu Pier opened at 7am, where we took a few more romantic photos before calling it a day!
